After updating popular models like the Sahara, Tornado, and Bros adventure bikes, Honda has introduced the 2025 version of the XRE 190 in Brazil. Originally launched in 2016, this bike has seen impressive success with over 180,000 units produced. The 2025 Honda XRE 190 will begin arriving at Brazilian dealerships starting in October.
What’s New in the 2025 Honda XRE 190?
The 2025 Honda XRE 190 focuses on improvements in safety, practicality, and overall user satisfaction. These updates reflect Honda’s evolving design strategy, along with feedback from loyal customers. Key upgrades include changes to the fairing, mirroring updates seen in models like the Sahara 300, XR 300L Tornado, and NXR 160 Bros.
Design and Comfort Enhancements
Noticeable changes are evident in the bike’s fuel tank, side profile, seat, and tail section. The new stepped seat is larger, providing more comfort for both the rider and pillion. The grab rails have been redesigned to create a flat surface at the rear, perfect for attaching a top case. Other updates include a new exhaust tip and aluminum footpegs for the pillion rider.
Variants and Color Options
The 2025 Honda XRE 190 is available in two variants: the Standard and Adventure versions. The standard variant comes in Pearlescent Red and Matte Metallic Blue, while the Adventure variant features Pearlescent Gray with exclusive graphics. The bike is equipped with all-LED lighting, enhancing its sporty look and visibility.
Advanced Digital Instrument Console
The digital instrument cluster has been upgraded with a high-contrast screen, providing key information like the odometer, fuel level, range, and average fuel efficiency. One of the most convenient additions is the USB Type-C charging port, located near the instrument panel for easy access.
Improved Suspension and Handling
While much of the hardware remains the same, the front forks now feature wider 33 mm tubes, replacing the previous 31 mm tubes for better handling. The front suspension offers 180 mm of travel, and the rear spring shock absorber linked to the swingarm provides 150 mm of travel. The 19-inch spoked steel front wheel and 17-inch rear wheel come fitted with Pirelli MT60 tires, ensuring a smooth ride. Braking is handled by a 240 mm front disc and a 220 mm rear disc, with single-channel ABS offered as standard.
Engine and Performance
The 2025 Honda XRE 190 retains the reliable 184.4cc air-cooled flex single-cylinder engine, delivering 16 hp and 16.28 Nm of torque on petrol, and 15.9 hp and 16.18 Nm on ethanol. The engine is paired with a 5-speed gearbox. The bike has a dry weight of 126 kg and a seat height of 836 mm.
Pricing and Warranty
The 2025 Honda XRE 190 is priced at R$22,060 (approx. Rs 3.37 lakh) for the base variant, while the Adventure variant costs R$22,496 (approx. Rs 3.40 lakh). These prices exclude freight and insurance charges. For added peace of mind, Honda offers a 3-year warranty with no mileage limit.
